| Madhupriya, the child folk singer who got into international fame with her Aadapillanamma song at the early age of 13, is now attracting the eye of media with her marriage. She hit the news with the controversy of her love marriage with her boyfriend Mangi Srikanth.According to sources, the young singer was in love with Srikanth for over two years. Madhupriya, who crossed her minority just a month ago has put forth plans to get married to her boyfriend. But the girl's parents objected to the decision of getting married at a very young age as this might serve as a stumbling block for her career. The parents however gave their consent to her relationship though, but were against getting married at this age.Disappointed with the parent's decision, she decided to marry Srikanth at his place as his parents have approved for their wedlock. The marriage was scheduled to happen on Friday at Sirpur Kagaznagar in Adilabad district.Meanwhile, parents of Madhupriya who are against the marriage tried to bring back the bride forcibly from the wedding with the help of relatives which resulted in media interference.She also approached the police stating she is major and has every right to marry on her own will. She requested the police to protect her from her own parents. According to police, parents of both the families are being counseled.Madhupriya earned recognition and fans through out the world with her peculiar voice. |
